Reflections from my journey in the space of Antaranga Yoga as learnt from Sri Raghu Ananthanarayanan and the Ritambhara Sangha.
Namaste!
I’m excited to see you join the ‘Inner Work Through Yoga’ newsletter.
Over the last few years, learning and practicing Antaranga Yoga (Inner Work Through Yoga) has had a transformative impact on myself, the way I engage with the world and people around me. It has also helped me gain a better understanding of my own meaning making processes and enabled me to discover and own up to the choices I make in my life. I have been able to discover a process of nurturing a space within me from where I can listen deeply to those around me and appreciate the beauty and rhythm of the world around despite its apparent chaos and uncertainties.
I am writing in this space as a way to consolidate my learnings from my studies of the Antaranga Yoga under my teacher Sri Raghu Ananthanarayanan (disciple of Yoga Acharya Sri T Krishnamacharya and co-founder, Ritambhara), Smt. Sashikala Ananth (vAstu expert and co-founder, Ritambhara) and through my engagements with the Ritambhara Sangha. I’m also remembering with deep gratitude my teacher Smt. Saraswati Vasudevan (Founder – YogaVahini) under whom I started my journey into the world of yoga and continue to learn yoga therapy. I am deeply grateful for being blessed with the presence of my teachers, mentors and the Sangha in my life and wish to make an attempt to articulate my journey in whatever way I can.
By joining this newsletter, you will get a ringside view of this journey through my sharing of my own personal experiences, and the insights / questions that I get in touch with as I engage in contemplative dialogues, and coaching conversations with individuals. I will also be sharing my reflections from anchoring some of the Inner Work Through Yoga based programs for groups.
I look forward to your comments and feedback as you read / listen to what comes your way from this space, and I hope we can be co-travellers learning from each other on this journey.
Love & Light,
Hariprasad Varma
