In a different universe, at a different time, in a different Avatar as a civil service aspirant I spent four years going through the rigour and seclusion of intense studies discussions and debates on topics ranging from literature to Constitution to Sociology. It was phase of self discovery and discovery of Bhārat. I breezed past the first stage in my first attempt followed by a string of failures by narrow margins. Each time in those four years what helped me picked myself up was my wanderings in the Himalayas. Very often I found myself spending days and weeks in the Divine Life Society in Rishikesh, watching Ganga aarti, yoga practitioners, helping with cooking and serving food at Anna Kshetram, etc. Each time I returned to Delhi, the Mountains healed me, energised me for the next bout of battle.
Today, I go back to those Himalayas, partly reminiscing those years with nostalgia for the free time that helped me discover myself, and with joy of being able to enable that journey for many more through yoga and inner work. Gratitude. Always. To Everyone & Everything that graced this journey.
